Lansoprazole Delayed-Release (Prevacid) is used to treat gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), ulcers, and conditions where the stomach produces too much acid, such as Zollinger-Ellison syndrome. Prescription lansoprazole is usually taken once a day before a meal.
