Use of Mirtazapine (Remeron)
The usual dose for mirtazapine is once at bedtime with or without food. Please contact the doctor right away if your depression symptoms get worse, experience sudden mood changes, or if you are having suicidal thoughts while taking Mirtazapine. Common side effects include drowsiness, lightheadedness, dry mouth, and weight gain. Do not drive until you are sure it is safe to do so. Drinking alcohol while taking mirtazapine can increase the likelihood of side effects. The maximum benefit of Mirtazapine may take 4 to 6 weeks.
