Founded in 1983, Actavis Generics operates one of the world's largest generics businesses and has a commercial presence in 100 countries. In 2015, Actavis officially changed its name to Allergan, although the company's North American business continues to be called Actavis. Allergen sold its generics division to Teva Pharmaceuticals in 2015.
