  • If you are prescribed both Omeprazole and Carafate, be sure to take Omeprazole at least 30 minutes before taking Carafate. Both medications tend to work better for you if taken on an empty stomach.

Is Sucralfate used for acid reflux?

  • You will only get a temporary relief from Sucralfate when used for acid reflux so generally not used for that.
