What are the side effects of Pulmicort?
- The most common side effects of Pulmicort are dry/irritated/sore throat, hoarseness, voice changes, bad taste in the mouth, runny or stuffy nose, nosebleeds,white patches or sores inside your mouth or on your lips (oral thrush), sneezing, or cough.
How do you use a Pulmicort inhaler?
- Holding the inhaler in an upright position, twist the brown grip as far as it will go in one direction, then twist it all the way back in the other direction. Inhale the dose. Turn away from the inhaler and breathe out. Then place the mouthpiece in your mouth, close your lips around it, and inhale deeply.
How long does it take for Pulmicort to start working?
- In order for Pulmicort to help prevent asthma attacks, it must be used every day in regularly spaced doses, as ordered by your doctor. This medicine usually begins to work in about 24 to 48 hours, but up to 2 to 6 weeks may pass before you feel the full effects.
