Announcement comes on the Heels of Honeybee Health’s Launch into Selling Select Controlled Substances and Providing Choice of Generic Rx Manufacturer
CULVER CITY, CALIF. — Honeybee Health, the accredited online pharmacy that does not take insurance and allows you to choose your generic manufacturer, is now selling premium dietary supplements, signaling the company’s latest expansion towards becoming a full-service pharmacy for all customers. Honeybee Health is launching with seven major supplements: B Complex, Coenzyme Q10 (CoQ-10), Multi-Mineral, Multi-Vitamin, Vitamin C, and two different doses of Vitamin D3.
With the addition, Honeybee Health will recommend supplements to help address the depletion of certain nutrients by prescription medications. For instance, a customer purchasing atorvastatin (Lipitor) will see that CoQ-10–a supplement used for conditions that affect the heart–can be purchased in the same order. Unlike prescription medications, supplements are sold over-the-counter, allowing customers to buy high-quality products without any barrier–including whether or not they’ve shopped with Honeybee Health before.

The launch of supplements is just the latest improvement for Honeybee Health customers in the third and fourth quarter of 2020. In early December, Honeybee Health announced it would begin selling controlled substances in 12 of its 43 licensed states. Both the supplements and the controlled substances are an addition to Honeybee Health’s already extensive catalog of over 6,000 generic medications that treat common medical conditions and treatments such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, anxiety, depression, type 2 diabetes, erectile dysfunction, birth control, STI/STD medications, hormone replacement therapy, and others.
Beyond expanding its range of medications, Honeybee Health announced in September it would also allow customers to choose their preferred generic manufacturer, providing information about each manufacturer and details for each pill such as color, shape, and inactive ingredients.
Honeybee Health does not accept insurance and is often able to offer customers prices lower than most copays or coinsurance. The fair prices are possible because Honeybee Health purchases medication directly from wholesale distributors and is able to find the lowest prices for every drug. This eliminates the multiple layers of companies, pharmacy benefit managers, and others that significantly inflate prices to produce their individual profits.
